Tyson Radley O'Connell

Tyson is a Marysville, Montana native with a lifelong passion for the outdoors.  After graduating from Macalester College, he spent five seasons guiding fly fishing in Alaska.  Four of these summers were on the world-famous rivers of Bristol Bay.

Tyson spent two months filming River Poets during the summer of 2006.  He made River Poets to provide an  inside look at the lives of fly fishing guides in Bristol Bay, and to spread awareness about the Pebble Mine, a proposed open-pit mine that threatens the world's largest salmon run.  Tyson is currently enrolled at the University of Montana School of Law.
